Mary’s prayer is a beautiful reminder of the wedding between God’s power and his goodness. The way he uses the least of us and lifts up the brokenhearted; the way he meets with those in need and gives mercy to those who fear him shines through Mary’s song.

Gabriel‘s visit to Mary stands in parallel to his words with Zechariah. Both are messages, divinely given, that highlight the coming of the Messiah.
