This week we looked at the church of Sardis and saw how their misplaced hope led to defeat and embarrassment. However, the promise of Christ is one whose victory is certain and the call to the Christian is to place our hope in Him.

As we jump into Revelation, we see Christ as the risen ruler and the one who holds the keys to death and Hades, assuring us of His ultimate victory. Despite persecution and suffering, we are to remain steadfast in our mission, knowing that Christ conquers through a position of meekness and that our citizenship is in His eternal kingdom. The call is to endure, trust in God’s sovereignty, and live as ambassadors of His grace and peace in a world in turmoil.
