Visiting ForestView
Hey there! We’re so glad you’re curious about Forestview Church and what we’re all about. Maybe you’ve heard the term “church plant” and wondered what that even means. Or perhaps you’re just thinking about visiting and have a few questions swirling around in your head. Well, you’ve come to the right place!
Welcome to ForestView Church!

What is a Church Plant?
Think of a church plant like a brand new garden. Just as a gardener carefully plants new seeds to grow beautiful flowers or delicious vegetables, a church plant is a new church that’s just starting to grow! We’re not an old, established institution, but rather a fresh, vibrant community that’s been intentionally started to reach out and serve our local area.
As a new church, we can build a community from the ground up that’s focused on our mission – Making Christ Known to Everyone, Everywhere.
This means we are building the ministries our community needs in real time. And while it means we may not have everything you want for your family right now, it does mean that we can be quick to respond. We invite you to be part of building and growing the ministries that will be foundational to our church and our community.
All in all, it means we’re passionate about creating a welcoming space where people can connect, learn, and grow together. We want our people to be a part of building this space while experiencing the calling to know Christ and make him known. We would love for you and your family to join us!
What to Expect on Your First Visit
We know visiting a new place can sometimes feel a little daunting, but we want your first experience at Forestview Church to be as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Here are some common questions we hear and what you can expect:
What is the service like?
Our services are designed to be engaging, uplifting, and relevant to your everyday life. A service will typically…
- Start with some Christ-focused worship music – think songs that point you to scripture and help connect you to God.
- Share announcements and future events
- Present a message from the Bible that’s biblically focused, practical, challenging and encouraging
- Time for prayer (and sometimes communion)
The whole service usually lasts about 60-75 minutes.
What about my kids?
We love kids at Forestview! And we want them to be a part of Sunday morning. More than that, we want families to worship together! So bring them, sit with them, and let them be kids.
We have kid-friendly packets to help keep your child engaged and connected with the family during service. And if you’re worried about their energy, that’s not a problem either, as we are happy to work with you to provide some options for them to get up, stretch their legs, and get some energy out without having to worry about other families.
What should I wear?
Come as you are. You’ll see everything from jeans and t-shirts to business casual. Our focus is on connecting with God and each other, not on what you’re wearing. Just be comfortable!
Do I need to bring anything?
Just bring yourself and an open heart! If you have a Bible, feel free to bring it, but it’s not required.
All the song lyrics and sermon points will be displayed on screens.
Will I be singled out or asked to do anything?
No. You are our guest, and we want you to feel comfortable. We won’t ask you to stand up, introduce yourself, or do anything that would make you feel awkward. You can participate as much or as little as you like.
We do have a welcome team who would love to say hello and answer any questions you might have, and help you get connected when you’re ready, but there’s no pressure.
How can I get more connected?
We’d love to connect with you! After the service, feel free to chat with one of our team members. We also have small groups that meet throughout the week – a great way to build deeper relationships! You can also explore this website to learn more about our beliefs, ministries, events, or contact us with any questions you may have.
We truly believe that ForestView Church is a place where you can grow, heal, and walk in the joy of Jesus Christ. In doing so, we step into our role as a people who are called to make Christ known to everyone, everywhere.
We can’t wait to meet you!
